About Cliptracer Range

Cliptracer Range is an iPhone app that works as an augmented-reality rangefinder: point your iPhone at a target you can see and it measures the distance, elevation change, and grade to it. It is a one-time purchase with no account, no login, no ads, and no in-app purchases.

What information we collect

The app is designed so that we collect as little as possible.

1. In-app measurements are computed and kept entirely on your device. No photos, video, camera imagery, or measurement data are transmitted to us or anyone else.
2. The camera is used only for the live augmented-reality view and tracking while you take a measurement. Camera frames are processed on-device and are never stored or uploaded.
3. We do not collect GPS location. The app does not request location access.
4. Technical data from our web server, such as IP address and browser user agent, when you visit this website.
5. Contact information that you choose to provide, such as your name and email, when you contact us.

How we use information

1. To operate this website.
2. To respond to messages you send us and provide support.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. App Store purchase records are handled according to Apple's policies.

Cookies

Our website may use cookies to remember preferences and to measure aggregated traffic. You can control cookies in your browser settings. The app itself uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking SDKs.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted service providers that help us operate the website (for example, hosting). Software License Agreement

End User License Agreement for Cliptracer Range. Please read carefully before using the app.

1. License grant

Cliptracer grants you a limited, non transferable, non exclusive license to install and use the Cliptracer Range mobile application on devices you own or control for your personal use.

2. Ownership

The app is licensed, not sold. All rights, title, and interest in and to Cliptracer Range and its content belong to Cliptracer or its licensors.

3. Restrictions

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where allowed by law. You may not rent, lease, or sublicense the app. You may not remove or alter any proprietary notices.

4. Measurements and safety

Cliptracer Range provides informational estimates only. Measurement quality varies with lighting, scene texture, and how you take sightings. Do not rely on the app for navigation, construction, surveying, safety-critical, or legal purposes. Stay aware of your surroundings while looking at the screen.

5. No warranties

The app is provided as is without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cliptracer disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cliptracer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Termination

This license terminates if you fail to comply with the EULA terms. Upon termination you must stop using the app and delete it from your devices.

8. Third party platforms

The app runs on Apple iPhone hardware and is distributed through the Apple App Store. Use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and policies. Apple, iPhone, and the App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Cliptracer is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.
